Mary Jean Kruse

KRUSE, Mary Jean. Age 79. Was born January 8, 1945, in Wichita, KS, and died on September 26, 2024. The third child in a family of eight, she grew up on a farm outside of Wichita, KS, before marrying Michael B. Kruse, who would be her husband of 48 years. They moved to Nashville in 1979, where Michael led the local office of Touche Ross Accounting and she took charge of raising their young family. 

A member of St. Henry Catholic Church, she was active in the Catholic community, regularly serving as a parent on Search weekends. She also volunteered at the Crisis Pregnancy Center, Honest Day's Labor, the Tennessee Arts League, and the Nashville Public Library. In her spare time, she loved to play bridge, travel, paint, and garden. She loved cold pizza and ice cream, and never met a jigsaw puzzle she couldn't solve. 

She is survived by her children, Amy Hubbuch (Jim), Lisa Link (Eric), Kevin Kruse (Lindsay), and Eric Kruse (Shala); grandchildren, Emily Hendricks, Megan and Kelsie Hubbuch, Caitlin Carter, Maggie and Sam Kruse, Reece and Bailey Kruse.
