Mary Beth Premeaux, 75, of Nashville, TN passed away February 18, 2018 after a long, courageous struggle with cancer.
An accomplished and well-respected property management professional, she took pride in a job well-done and brought a dedication and personal investment to her job like few others. A compassionate supervisor, she treated co-workers like family always willing to go above and beyond to support them.
A fine athlete in her own right, she was an avid supporter of her children and later her grandchildren at the widest possible array of sporting events. Whether it was a musical performance or hours on a bench at the Red Caboose Park, if her grandchildren were involved, and she was able, she was there. She was a constant source of support and encouragement for all of us.
In her later years, a walk down a wooded trail or watching the sunset at the beach brought her great joy as did her constant companion dog Luqa.
Born September 19, 1942 in Winnfield, LA to the late J.T. Shaw, Jr. and the late Annie Rai Doyal Shaw, she is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gordon R. Premeaux, daughter Kim P. Yager (Craig), son G. Michael Premeaux (Cynthia), grandchildren Connor, Chase, Morgan, Megan and Mason, brother John G. Shaw, and sister-in-law Dianne Poisso. She was preceded in death by brother Donald W. Shaw.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 22nd at 1:00 at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens. Attendees will gather immediately prior to the service in Stateroom B of Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. The family will welcome family and friends at home following the service.
