Mary Ruth Crownover Walker, age 96, of Franklin, TN, passed peacefully from this life and went home to be with her Lord on April 18, 2015.

Born February 13, 1919 in Nashville, TN, the second of 10 children born to Luther Crownover and Amy Charlton Sirls Crownover, she was a lifelong faithful Christian and a longtime member of the Concord Road Church of Christ.

Preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Claude A. Walker; parents, Luther and Amy Crownover; sisters, Catherine Grey, Margaret Hemby, and Beverly Merritt; and brothers, James, Eugene, Charles, and William Crownover.

Survived by two sons, Garry (Carol) Walker, Madison, AL, and Michael (Barbara) Walker, Franklin, TN; a granddaughter Valerie (Chris) Chaffin, High Point, NC; three grandsons, Kevin (Alice) Walker, Honolulu, HI, Michael K. Walker and John Walker, Franklin, TN; two great grandchildren, Ethan Chaffin and Kai'a Chaffin; two sisters, Evelyn (Tommy) Hollingsworth and Daisy Marie Pack; eight nephews and seventeen nieces.

The Walker family will receive friends on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home where a celebration of Mary's life will be conducted at 3:00.
