Matthew Thomas Winn

Matthew Thomas Winn, 34, of Nashville, TN, suddenly entered eternity on January 26th, 2022.

He was born at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN on February 13th, 1987, to Royal Bruce Winn Sr. and Laura Allison. He graduated in 2005 from Brentwood High School, Graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Liberty University, and more recently, Matt received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin. In his professional life, Matt excelled where he most recently worked for REED Landscaping, Inc. and served their staff and clientele as Vice President.

Matt was known by so many to be a boisterous and refreshing energy with his vibrant smile and infectious laugh. Matt could literally talk to anyone, making them feel seen and admired after just a few minutes of speaking to them. Matt had a passion and love for great music, great food, and making good memories with those he loved. Matt was known by many to be a fan of the Dave Matthews Band, where in 2021 he saw the company play for the 17th time in concert. Matt embodied in spirit the lyrics of the song, “The Best of What’s Around” that states:

“See you and me have a better time than most can dream. Have it better than the best, so we can pull on through. Whatever tears at us, whatever holds us down, and if nothing can be done – we’ll make the best of what’s around.”

Matt’s heart was so full of love and appreciation for the people he journeyed through life with. Matt was known by so many for the joyful and happy memories that he made with them.

Matt is survived by his Wife, Miranda Winn; Daughter, Eleanor Scott Winn; Mother, Laura Allison; Brothers, Kash Moghaddami and Tres Winn; Nieces and Nephew; Adelina Winn, Charlotte Winn, and Luke Winn. Grandparents; Tom and Nilda Allison; He will be cherished and missed and trusted into the hands of Jesus by his extended family, friends, and loved ones.

The Celebration to honor Matt’s life will be February 5th at Legends Club in Franklin, TN (1500 Legends Club Ln, Franklin, TN 37069) from 2pm-6pm CST.
