MOWRY--Maureen Nancy O'Hara was born January 19, 1933, in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Theresa Eleanor O'Hara and Ardell Charles O'Hara. She graduated from Madison High School, (Mansfield, Ohio), Class of 1951, and from The Ohio State University, Class of 1956 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles Raymond Mowry, on June 13, 1953 and moved to Nashville, TN in 1956. She worked at the VA Hospital for the next thirty-one years, with her last position in nursing administration: recruitment and retention.

Following retirement, she worked in the afterschool program at St. Henry School for nine years. During those years, she was an active member in activities at St. Henry Church and also visited nursing homes and called community Bingo. She was a member of the Women's Council and received the Henrietta Award in 1996 for service; and she was also an active member of the Sunshine Club and Friendship Circle. Maureen was a member of the VA retired nurse club and the VA retirees lunch group. She was a member of the Dominican Laity, she professed final vows in 2015 as Theresa Eleanor, O.P.

Preceded in death by parents,Ardell and Theresa O`Hara and husband of fifty-three years Charles Mowry; sons: Michael O'Hara Mowry and infant, Charles Raymond Mowry Jr. Survived by daughter Melody "Mimi" Theresa Mowry Clarke (Rick), grandchildren: Margaret "Marti" O'Hara Mowry Ameen (Jonathan), John Raymond Mowry (Emily), Melody O'Hara Clarke, Meghan McCray Clarke Nicholson (Morgan), Madeleine Thomas Clarke, and four great-granddaughters: Ella James Mowry, Clarie Margaret Ameen, Emilia "Mimi" Mowry Nicholson, and Elizabeth O'Hara Mowry.
Due to ongoing concerns there will be no visitation with the family. A private service will be held at a later date.
