ALDERSON, Maxwell Lanier Age 71of Thompson Station passed away January 31, 2013. Mr. Alderson was born November 24, 1941 in Gallatin to Evelyn and Everett Alderson. He grew up in Portland where he was a member of the Boy Scouts receiving the rank of Eagle Scout and the God and Country badge. He graduated from Portland HS in 1959. He attended college at Tennessee Tech where he received his Bachelors degree in Mathematics. At Tech he was the very first Tennessee Tech Golden Eagle Mascot. He advanced his knowledge with 2 MBA's from Christian Brothers. Mr. Alderson had a very broad career working for Truck Stops of America as Director of Information Systems, Shoney's as the Vice President of Technology, IBM Global Services & KBM, IT Services. Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by the love of his life, Patricia Beard Alderson; sons, Andrew Maxwell Alderson, Denver Colorado, Jonathan Lloyd Alderson, Nashville, TN; stepson, Kelly Gene Bussell, Atlanta, GA; stepdaughters, Veronica Finch Terry, granddaughter, Taryn Finch, Minneapolis, MN, and Tatiana Calderon, St. Paul, MN. A Memorial Service will be held 2pm Monday at Brentwood United Methodist Church with Reverend Mack Strange, Campus Pastor, Trinity Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church in the Narthex. In lieu of flowers donations may be made Trinity United Methodist Church in Springhill or Tennessee Tech Scholarship Fund.
