DOLAN, MELODY JEAN TUNE died peacefully February 16th at St. Thomas Alive Hospice. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Harriet Tune, her brother John Childress Tune, her sister Ellen Anne Tune, her husband Kline Monroe Dolan and nephew James Clark Turner.
Mrs. Dolan was raised in Nashville and flew for two decades as a stewardess for American Airlines, the Military Air Transport Service and the Los Angeles Dodgers. She retired to Beverly Hills, California where she started an interior design firm. She married Kline Dolan and they settled in Rancho Mirage, California. Mrs. Dolan returned to Nashville after his death.
Mrs. Dolan is survived by her sisters Adair Tune Schippers; E. Bailey Tune of Harpers Ferry, West VA, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Norman Tune; Nephews, Jet, Julian, & David Tune, John, Sean, and Brock Schippers, Kelly Fowler, and one niece, Mary preceded. Melody is survived by fifteen great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dolan was a Communicant of St. Henry's Catholic Church a volunteer and Special Eucharistic Minister since returning to Nashville in 2002.
Visitation will be at 12:00 preceding the Mass at 1:00pm at the St. Henry's Chapel on Highway 70. Burial will be at Harpeth Hills Cemetery on Highway 100. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Overbrook School Scholarship Fund, 4210 Harding Road, Nashville, TN 37205; St. Henry's Church or Alive Hospice.
