Michael O'Hara Mowry was born June 13, 1955 on his parents' second wedding anniversary. He graduated from Hillwood High School class of 1974. He worked as a young man for ShoBud Guitars, followed by nine years as a roadie for Johnny Paycheck. The next twenty-two years he was employed by Lee Company; his last assignment as a project superintendent.

He is survived by his mother, Maureen O'Hara Mowry; and children Margaret (Marti) O'Hara Mowry and John Raymond Mowry; sister, Mimi Mowry Clarke; brother-in-law, Rick Clarke; nieces, Sister Maureen Clarke O.P. (Melody), Meghan McCray Clarke, and Madeleine (Maddie) Thomas Clarke; aunt, Rosemary Mowry Wilkins; and cousins, Guy Raymond Mowry and Amy Mowry Andrade. Preceded in death by infant daughter, Amanda Harper Mowry; and father, Charles Raymond Mowry; maternal grandparents Ardell Charles O'Hara, Theresa O'Hara Hall, and Edward Hall; paternal grandparents, G. Raymond Mowry, and Amanda Lantz Mowry. Michael died November 27, 2013 after a three-month illness with inoperable kidney cancer.

Visitation with the family at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221 from 5-7p.m. on Wednesday December 4, 2013. Funeral Mass will be at St. Henry Catholic Church, 6401 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN 37205 on Thursday December 5, 2013 at 1 p.m.

Mike will be missed by family and friends. He was an inspiration to all who crossed his path. He is free from pain and blessed to be with our Savior.

The family would like to thank Alive Hospice for the wonderful care they provided and Lee Company for all the love and support, especially his co-workers and chaplain, Jason Cruise. A special thank you to the friends on Moss Creek Court for their kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Henry Catholic Church.
