Papa: the Man, the Myth, the Legend

Michael James Noonan, or Papa, as many of his loved ones called him, left us way too early. He touched so many lives and no matter the situation he was able to make it better with his character and personality. His spirit will live on forever.

He loved well. His wife, partner and best friend was his greatest joy. He made everything about others first before ever worrying about himself. He loved his career and was a great teacher and motivator. He loved to educate and make things better. He took pride in everything he did.

Papa enjoyed his family and always created a place where family and friends could come and be around each other. He worked hard to provide for his kids and their families and loved them dearly. He would move mountains for his grandkids and loved being around them. He had a love hate relationship with the game of golf. He loved to play but hated getting beat. But you could find him on the course every chance he got. He also found the love of poker and could be found playing online or with the guys. His poker face was masterful. Be careful angels if you find yourself in a game with him. He most likely isn't bluffing!

His love for life was contagious. He was a fighter until the very end. He loved his country and fought for the freedoms of others. He loved his football. His favorite team was the Michigan Wolverines and you could find him yelling "Go Blue" most weekends only in the fall. "Hail to the victors" was his favorite anthem. In everything he did, he showed passion and love. He lived a life that most would dream.

Big Mike, the Buda of the Muda, Papa, Noonan, whatever you knew him by, you were better because you knew him. There are many words that can describe him but they would most likely all fall short.
He will be missed. Rest easy! Heaven received an extraordinary Angel.

We stand and salute you! You were so loved!
Rest In Peace and Go Blue!
