WILLIAMS, Michael "Ryan" – Age 30 of Portland, TN passed away May 25, 2012. Ryan is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Babe Williams and Bud Wooldriege. He is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, Bobbi Williams; parents, Danny and Kay Williams; sister, Kelly Cusson Chris; grandmothers, Marian Hurt, Julia Williams, Celeste Wooldriege, and 3 nephews. Ryan was a graduate of Beech High School, where he met the love of his life, Bobbi. He received his Bachelor's Degree from TSU and was working on his Master's Degree in Education. Ryan was a science teacher and track coach for Shafer Middle School where he received the honor of "Teacher of the Year, 2011-2012". His love of teaching and his students attributed to the nickname they gave him, "Coach Megatron." He was a devoted husband who loved music, UT Football and baseball and won "Mr. Tennessee" in 2006. A Life Celebration for Ryan will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 28, 2012 in the gymnasium of Shafer Middle School. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 27th from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home and on Monday from 12:00 until service time at Shafer Middle School. Justin Curtis, Garrett Dixon, Chris Cusson, Rodney Carrigan, Charlie Deathridge, Brandon Stinson, Matt Wheeler, and Kyle Gilliam will be serving as pall bearers.
