Michael Ray Settle

Michael Ray Settle, 75, of Goodyear, AZ passed away on November 10, 2021 at Providence Place, Glendale, AZ. Michael was born to Joe Clinton Settle Sr. and Noelia (Harwell) Settle on September 22, 1946. His family moved to Southern California when Michael was eight. He graduated from South Gate High School in 1965. He then went to work at LA County General Hospital where he was Employee of the Month twice and retired after 20 plus years of employment as a Hospital Cafeteria Worker.

Michael loved life; his happiest moments were spent going to “The Casino,” fishing, bowling, square dancing and attending musical concerts and getting autographs of his favorite Country Music Artists! He loved the Lord and enjoyed fellowship at numerous Baptist churches in TN and CA.

To be around Michael was to be around love in its purest form. Such a kind, gentle soul filled with wonderment and innocence. He found so much joy in the simplest things. He will be missed.

Michael Ray Settle was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Clinton Settle and Noelia Harwell Settle. He is survived by his brother, Joe Clinton Settle (JoAnn), Goodyear, AZ, his nephews, Gregory Alan Settle (Connie), Bend, OR, Clint Eric Settle, Mena, AR, Tyler William Andersen (Cristin), Mercer Island, WA and niece, Megan JoEllen Andersen, Goodyear, AZ. He is also survived by his Aunt, Viola Ricks, Nashville, TN, and numerous great nephews, nieces and beloved cousins and extended family members.

Memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 with the Celebration of Life to begin at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN. 37221.
