Millie Price- Was born on October 25, 1921 in Charleston, WV. She passed away on June 18, 2014 at Christian Care Cheatham. She was one of four children of the late Charles Franklin and Elsie Wilcher of Charleston, WV. Preceded in death by her husband, Joe W. Price; brother, G. William Wilcher. Millie is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Price Birdsong of Nashville, TN; grandsons, Michael Birdsong of Salinas, CA and Joseph Birdsong of Nashville, TN; brother, Dr. Charles Wilcher, Jr. of Vandalia, OH; sister, Mrs. Joseph L. Crouse, Sr. of Wilmore, KY. She graduated from Asbury College in Wilmore, KY with a degree in Home Economics. During her college years she was involved with her sorority and was a member of her college Glee Club. After college she dedicated herself to a career for 10 years before marrying her husband, Joe, on May 12, 1953. She was an active member of McKendree United Methodist Church. She was known as a skilled letter writer and a wonderful wife, mother and friend to many that knew and loved her. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Nashville Rescue Mission, 639 Lafayette St, Nashville, TN 37203. We would especially like to thank her "family" at Christian Care Cheatham that loved her and took such wonderful care of her.
