Millard West - Age 89, of Fairview, passed away February 4, 2017.
Mr. West was a kind, gentle & sweet man that loved to help and serve others. He was a devoted Christian and family man who never met a stranger. He worked many places in his life but after 31 years of faithful service he retired from Neuhoff Packing Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairview. He served his country honorably during WWII in occupied Japan in the United States Navy. He was a great man who never had an ill word to say about anyone nor did anyone speak ill of him. He has gone from us but only from our sight.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Jeannie Knight West; 1brother. Survived by 2 daughters, 3 grandsons; 1grandaughter; 7 great-granddaughters; 1 great-grandson; 2 sisters; several extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Fairview.
A Life Celebration will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, February 7th with burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Abernathy, Keith Whitley, Mark Whitley, Michael Baird, Ray Whitley Roy Fristom, Randy Moss & Dean Shelton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ben Parman's Men's Class from First Baptist Church, Fairview.
