Miriam M. Ingman, age 84. She passed away peacefully around 10 a.m. on Friday, December 12, 2014. She lived a full life and lived well. She was born on December 20, 1929, to Robert Thomas and Louise Wood Mitchell, of Youth, Georgia. After graduating from Monroe High School, she attended Agnes Scott College where she sang with the Atlanta Opera. On January 29, 1949, she married James A. Ingman, Jr. They were married for 49 years. He died three months before their 50th wedding anniversary. They moved to Nashville in September of 1964. They, along with their children, were members of Woodmont Christian Church. Mim was the office manager and bookkeeper for Drs. Burrus and Lovvorn, for 30 years. She was also an accomplished caterer and wallpaper hanger. She enjoyed bowling, bridge and playing golf. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Alan Mitchell, and her husband, James Arthur Ingman, Jr. She is survived by her 3 children. Her eldest son, Arthur, his wife, Jenny and their two daughters, Victoria and Stephanie; her son, Mitchell, his wife, Connie and their two sons, Mitch Jr. (great-granddaughter, Kayden) and Jimi and her daughter, Julie. A memorial service is being planned for December 28, 2014 at 3 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior at Woodmont Christian Church in Nashville with Thom Schuyler with officiating. The Inurnment will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 29 at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
