Morris "Wayne" Tidwell, Sr. - Age 65, of Burns, passed away February 20, 2017.
Wayne was down to earth and a selfless man who was loved by all. He taught his family the meaning of love and was known for helping others. He was a Vietnam Vet and served in the Army. He returned from the Army and met his future wife Mary on a blind date set up by friends. He loved his family above all else and was a championship Poker Player.
Preceded in death by parents, Izella Owens Tidwell and Homer Clyde Tidwell; granddaughter, Braylee Rae Tidwell. Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mary Tidwell; children, Tina Myers (Donald Hay), David Dodd, Billy Dodd, Morris Wayne Tidwell, Jr. (Katy Brecht); grandchildren, Krystal Myers, Jesse Myers, Dylan Myers, Chance Hay, Austin Dodd, David Able, Billy Dodd, Jr., Brook Dodd, Brennen Avery Tidwell, great grandchildren, Carter Able, AnaLia Steward, sisters, Geneva Pack, Odessa Norville, brothers, Douglas Tidwell, Benjamin Tidwell, Thomas Tidwell, Roy Tidwell, Gerald Tidwell, extended family and friends.
A Life Celebration will be held 2pm, Thursday February 23 with Pastors, Gary Lovitt and Ed Fox, officiating. Burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be the grandsons and nephews.
