James L. Dreaden, Sr. Age 88. Died suddenly on December 23, 2015.
Preceded in death by his parents, W.A. and Mae Dreaden and five brothers and sisters.
Survived by his wife of 66 years, Frances Dreaden; children, Kathy Gilliam, Jim Dreaden, Jr. (Linda), Linda Morris (Jimmy); grandchildren, Mark Gilliam (Hillari), Brittany Carden (Trent), Kaitlin Elkins (Brandon), Kara Morris and Lee Dreaden; great-grandchildren, Wyatt James Gilliam, Michael Carden and Alyse Gilliam; brothers, Reed Dreaden of Waverly, TN; sister, Gertie Buckner of Michigan; brother-in-law, Terry Hardin, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Charlotte Heights Church of Christ where he served as an Elder for many years. He was a Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Mr. Dreaden was employed for Sealtest Milk Company and Kraft Foods for 42 years. After his retirement from Kraft Foods, he worked at Harpeth Hills and West Harpeth Funeral Home for nearly 20 years. He truly loved life to the fullest and never met a stranger. He always helped anyone who needed help. He loved everyone he knew and everyone loved him.
A visitation will be from 11 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
