Myron "Jim" Walton, age 94, passed away on March 30, 2018 at NHC Franklin in Franklin, TN. He was born to the late John D Walton and Lyda Mae Johnson Walton on April 6, 1923 in Center City, TX, where he grew up on a farm.
Along with his parents, Mr. Walton is preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Mrs. Louise Rains Walton. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Glyn, Emory, and Larry; and one sister Deloris Walton Davee.
He is survived by two nephews, two nieces, and several cousins.
Mr. Walton served 30 plus years in The United States Air Force. He served active duty during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was extremely proud of his military service and greatly loved his country. This love was only surpassed by the love he had for Mrs. Louise, and it could be seen in the care and devotion he showed her to her last day. After his military service he went on to work for the US Postal Service, where he would also retire. In retirement he enjoyed volunteering at Williamson Medical Center, everyone who crossed his path delighted in his presence. Staying true to his farming roots, he enjoyed raising goats as one of his pastime's.
A Life Celebration will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service.
