JOHNSON, Jr. Nathaniel B. "Barney" -age 90 passed away May 31, 2012. Barney was an honest, funny, conscientious & gentle loving family man. He was a patriot to his country serving in WWII. He was the foundation of his family. He enjoyed having chocolate which he was allergic to, Bowling, Hunting, Fishing, camping & UT Football. He did not like being late or anyone else for that matter. He was a lifelong member of N.A.R.F.E., The American Society of Civil Engineering & a Half Century Member of the University of Tennessee Alumni Association. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville for the last 35 years. He was an incredible man that will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Lucy Johnson; son, Edward B. Johnson. Survived by his children, Paul Johnson Sue, James M. "Michael" Johnson Tenna & Lian Johnson Rumsey; grandchildren, Jessica Johnson, Kayce Johnson, Megan Johnson, Anjali Rumsey, Zackery Rumsey & Rachel Johnson; brother, Steve Johnson Martha; extended family, Kathryn Johnson & Elizabeth Ann Johnson; beloved pet, Barney's Buddy; several nieces, nephews & friends. A Life Celebration will be held 2pm Monday June 4, 2012 at Hendersonville Funeral Home with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park 660 Thompson LN, Nashville, TN, 37204.
