Norma Dolores Burrow, 90, died Dec 14, 2020. Mrs. Burrow was born in Mt Pleasant, TN on July 16, 1930 to Harold McClain and Mona French McClain. She was married for 67 years to James Wesley Burrow. She was known to all as Mama Dee. She loved her church, all sports, and helping people. Even while raising her own children, Mama Dee and Jim provided a home for many foster children. She taught nursery school for countless years through her church Harpeth Heights Baptist Church which she attended for 81 years. She weekly participated in after school programs teaching elementary students about Jesus. She would also teach the English language to non English speaking adults new to her community through her church. She would never miss a Vanderbilt football/ basketball game or a Titans football game. Nor would she miss a baseball game, football game, soccer game, basketball game, dance recital or cheer competition in which one of her grand-kids were participating. She was a lover of cruises, the beach, and fishing. She was an extraordinary seamstress. Most importantly she was the best wife, mom, grandmother and friend. Preceding Mama Dee in death were her sister, Peggy McClain, and her brother, Bob McClain and daughter, Cherry Lynn Burrow. She is survived by her husband, James Wesley Burrow, her sister, Myrna Southwood. She is also survived by her daughters, Pam Lovvorn (Herschel), Sherry Anderson (Chuck), Lisa Justice (Brian), her son Scott Burrow (Emily) along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be a funeral service on Saturday at Harpeth Heights Baptist Church at 1:30 PM, Dec 19. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, Harpeth Heights Baptist Church, or charity of one's choice.
