Norman Reece Beard passed away on March 5, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare Regional in Jackson, Tennessee; he was 73 years old.
Mr. Beard was preceded in death by his parents Elvis and Pauline McCord Beard; brother James Beard; and his wife Dixie Beard.
Mr. Beard will be missed by his best four-legged friend and constant companion Lacy; daughter Lynne White (Shawn); daughter Meredith Beard; daughter Allison Roberts (Dean); stepchildren Susan Ham (Stan) and Larry Pendergrass; and grandchildren Caroline White, Chayse White, Samuel Roberts, and Benjamin Roberts.
Mr. Beard never passed up a card game. He loved to sit at the Coffee Shop talking and socializing. He was an amazing cook and loved sharing his creations with friends. He enjoyed traveling, was a compassionate caregiver, loyal to his church family, and Storyteller Extraordinaire.
A Memorial Service will be Sunday, March 11, 2018, 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Lexington, Tennessee, 50 Stanford Ave, Lexington, TN 38351.
A visitation will be held Monday, March 12, 2018 10:00 am thru 2:00 pm with a Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, Tennessee 37221.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials in his name be made to the First Baptist Church in Lexington, TN or to Oak Haven Assisted Care Living Facility, 1460 Crucifer Rd, Huron, TN 38345.
