Odessa Greer Bowers, age 86 of Pegram, TN went home to be with the Lord on September 15, 2014.

Odessa was born in Nashville, TN on July 18, 1928 to the late Hardie & Mary Greer.

She was preceded in death by her son Jimmy Bowers; grandson, Jeffrey Smith; brother, Scott Greer & brother in law, Grover Anderson.

Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, James Bowers; daughters, Marie (Mike) Smith & LuAnn (Mike) Engelman; sister in law, Lisa Bowers; siblings, Lorena Anderson, Carolyn (Warren) Miller, Bell (Charles) Sanders, Ross (Zoe) Greer & Betty (Herman) Donegan; special cousin, Randy Clark; 7 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren & a host of nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to give a special thank you to Dr. David Heusinkveld, Dr. Beverly Turner-Winbush, and Tamera Pace & Staff.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home where a celebration of Odessa's life will be conducted on Thursday at 1:00 pm with a visitation starting at 10:00 am until service time.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Heart Association, COPD Foundation or to the Way Community Center in Pegram in loving memory of Mrs. Odessa Greer Bowers.
