Odie Ray Foxall, Sr, age 81 of Hermitage, passed away March 25, 2017 at Alive Hospice at Skyline in Madison.

A native of Lyles, TN, he was the son of the late Joseph Norwood Foxall and Myrtle Alice Nipper Foxall. Odie made a career in sales, retiring with over 50 years of service with Industrial Sales/Electric Service.

He will be remembered as a man of "strong morals and good character," according to his children. He lived by the old school standard of "to be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late and to be late is unacceptable."

A natural leader, with a strong will, Odie used his skills to lead and develop his children and their friends. He served as Cub Master for Pack 700, coached numerous sports, and was past President of the CB club.

No matter the need, he was quick to help his neighbors and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Myrtle Foxall, and is survived by his wife: Peggy Richardson Foxall; three children: Ray (Leticia) Foxall, Ricky (Ruth) Foxall and Mittnee (Jimmy) Doub; three siblings: Patsy Foxall Apple, Audrey Sutton and Larry Foxall; and 5 grandchildren: Justin Megibben, Chris Foxall, Michael Foxall, Alex Doub and Christina Foxall.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, March 28 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, and again on Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
