Erma Olene Clendening, age 66, passed away on August 9, 2022, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born on October 21, 1955, to the late Paul Woodson Wilcoxson and Dorothy Seiber Wilcoxson. In addition to her parents, she is preceeded in death by her husband James Lester Clendening “Jimmy” and brother Robert Oliver Wilcoxson.
Survived by her children, Misty Michelle Riedel (Ron), Beverly Lynn Morris (Jim), James Robert “Jimbob” Clendening and Christiana Marie Allison (TJ), grandchildren, Joshua Dale McFarlin (Megan), Rachel Lynn Blackman, Dylan Ray Clendening, Autumn Desiree Cheyenne Clendening, James Samuel Morris III “Little Jim” (ZaZanna), Samantha Derris Clendening “Brownie” and Tabitha Michelle Suzanne Riedel, great grand-children, Santiana Lynnesse Blackman, Ly'Ahna Elisse Blackman, Deago Santano Blackman, Jr., Melody Grace Clearwaters, Bentley Clendening, Kasen Clendening, Kenzie Roake, Kylan Clendening, Brennan Wade Ryder Warren, August Rain Chute and James Samuel Morris IV (in the womb), siblings, Paul Woodson Wilcoxson, Jr. and James Russell Wilcoxson “Russell”, fur babies, Sara “Bells” and Starr amongst many friends who she considered close family.
Olene loved spending time with family, friends and listening to music (especially to Brooks and Dunn). In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards and plane watching. Everyone who knew her would describe her as “mama bear” because of her tenderness, warmth, and gifts of love she would provide to all she loved. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
There will be a visitation Tuesday August 16, 2022, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Wednesday August 17, 2022, from 11:00 am until Celebration of Life 12:00 pm all held at James Avenue Church of Christ located at 613 James Ave, Nashville, TN 37209.
