Ouida Lavinia Crowder Logan May, born July 8, 1932, in Hope, Arkansas, passed away in Mishawaka, Indiana, on Saturday, May 18, 2019; she was 86 years old.
Mrs. May was preceded in death by her parents Ted Cleve and Minnie Rexroat Crowder; and ex-husband Edward J. May.
Survivors include daughter Deborah Abernathy (Brian), and her children Ashley McCord (Scott), Miranda Scarbrough (Jacob) and her children Logan, Bronson, and Deacon; daughter Cheryl Carpenter (Larry Joe) and her children Joseph Carpenter (Danielle) and his children Lynley and Josey; Matthew Carpenter (Angie) and his children Austin and Kendall; Mandy Myers (JD) and her children James and Sean; son Larry May (Linda) and his children Jason May (Kristin) and his child Alexis; Leigh Anne Del Muro and her child Sadie; daughter Brenda Johnson and her child Lauren Bozzelli (Nick) and her children Alyssa, McKenzie, and Baylee; and son Michael May (Amanda) and his child Patrick; and ex-husband Floyd Logan.
Ouida enjoyed getting her hair done, playing bingo, the Cooking Channel, watching her favorite TV show, "Andy Griffith" and most of all, spending quality time with her family; which often included taking pictures and looking at heirloom photos. She loved family phone calls and texts, but especially, family holiday get-togethers.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 23, 2:00 - 4:00, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 4:00; all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221. A private graveside burial will follow the service.
