Pat (Patty to her family) was a mother figure to all. She was selfless and caring. She always put others' needs before her own. She loved her family above all else.
She was unlike most in that she was all about lifting people up and being supportive. She loved and wanted to be there for all in her family and inner circle. Pat is like Mother Theresa and all the other heroes of love out there who are often unsung because of their quiet humility. But Pat was known by those who loved her for how different and how truly self-sacrificing she was.
She is survived by numerous loved ones: her daughter, Lynn Conklin and her granddaughter, Sarah Boper9 Conklin (James); her brother, Phillip Burnett (Edyth); her niece Brandy Burnett and her nephew Jeff Burnett. When she married Jack she became mother to Terry Carty (Anne), Susan Wilburn (John), Mark Carty (Dawn) and grandmother to their children James Carty (Maurine), Rebecca Groll (Phil), and Jonathan Wilburn (Julie). She was also loved by many great-grandchildren and great nieces. She was surrounded by all of her surviving children as she left on her journey to be with God.
Pat lost her husband Jack 9 years ago and her beloved mother Eudora a year before that. She missed them deeply and has headed home to be with them. The family thanks everyone who loved Pat for understanding that she was a precious and uniquely loving person. Honorary pallbearers will be Telephone Pioneers and the Pathfinders Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Blakemore United Methodist Church.
