Patricia Ann Goble Heller Zanone entered God’s kingdom on February 11, 2024 at the age of 94. The granddaughter of German and Scottish immigrants, she was born in Arlington, NJ. She raised one daughter and five sons. Patty was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Heller, her elder brother Theodore Goble, and her youngest son Barry Heller. She is survived by her second husband, Robert Zanone; remaining 5 children Barbara (Roger) Thorn, Robert (Nancy) Heller, David (Ann) Heller, Dan (Vicki) Heller, and Kerry (Jean) Heller. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. She dearly loved the children of her second husband and their children, taking joy in their marriages, children, and professional successes as she did her with her own offspring.
Patty was a woman with tremendous energy. Despite raising her six energetic children, she still had energy to earn her bachelor’s degree in history at the age of 56. Patty and Mr. Zanone house-sat, dog-sat, and babysat everything from grandchildren to Doberman Pinschers for 20 years across the southeastern and southwestern United States. Patty was an avid gardener and loved nurturing beauty in her own backyard. When her hands failed, her loving husband still dug the holes with her direction so she could have flowers in the springtime. She was also a wonderful cook, often stating she preferred to cook for her family rather than eating at a restaurant.
Patty’s only enemies were Satan and the podiatrist that prescribed her orthopedic shoes when she was in her 70s. She did forgive the podiatrist (in time) as she was a Christian. She took joy and comfort in her Christian faith. Jesus gained a lively and loving spirit when he welcomed her into Heaven, though we here on earth will miss her dearly.
