Patrick (Pat) Allen Moore was born on April 24, 1945 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Pat passed away on February 18, 2024 in Nashville, Tennessee, a short six days after the passing of his beloved wife, Debbie. They shared 51 wonderful years of marriage together.
Pat was a loving son, brother, husband, father and friend. His contagious sense of humor, compassion and generosity touched the lives of countless people throughout his lifetime. Pat is preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Hamilton Moore, his parents Clyde and Francis (Anderson) Moore, and brother Mike Moore.
Pat is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer Moore and her son Daniel Moore, both of Loveland, Colorado, sisters Malli Plowman (Mike) of Harrisburg, North Carolina, Terri Brewer (Ted) of Cleveland, Ohio, and Annette Hendrix of Portland, Oregon, brother Chris Moore (Christie) of Nashville, Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews.
Pat grew up in Arkansas and was the second oldest of six children. After graduating from St. Anne’s Academy in 1963 he worked in the airline industry for several years. In 1971 Pat enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving alongside his younger brother Chris. He served faithfully and honorably in the Marine Corps for eight years before moving to the greater Nashville area and becoming a commercial pilot.
Pat would later leave his job as a pilot to join Debbie in their very successful and growing printing business, although he continued to fly often for pleasure. After retirement, he and Debbie spent much of their time traveling extensively throughout the world.
For those who might wish to honor Pat, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, a contribution be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to The Wounded Warrior Project.
