Pattie French Byrn Lester- Passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 95 on November 17, 2017. She was the daughter of Patrick Madison French and Myrtle Davis French.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Myrtle French Trimble; two wonderful husbands, Charles Richardson Byrn, Jr. and William Lambeth Lester; son, Charles Richardson Byrn III; son-in-law, Gary Wayne Fox.

Pattie is survived by her children, Patricia Byrn Litow, Elizabeth Byrn Fox, Laura and Tom Pollock, Joe and Ann Lester; grandchildren, Brian Fox and his wife, Megan, David Fox and his wife, Liz, Alexandra Litow Phillips and her husband, Ryan, Andrew Litow and his wife, Lauryn, Zade Pollock and his wife, Nan, Joshua Pollock, Elizabeth Lester Jordan and her husband, Hank, Mary Lambeth Lester Gomez and her husband, Noland, Natalie Lester Marty and her husband, Nathan; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pattie was born in Nashville, TN on May 31, 1922. She attended Ward-Belmont and graduated from Vanderbilt University, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was an active member of West End United Methodist Church where she served on numerous committees. She was on the Junior Board and Senior Board of the Florence Crittendon Home, an active member of the Fannie Battle Day Home, a member of the Centennial Club and a member of Belle Meade Country Club.
Her southern charm and wit endeared her to all. She and Lambeth loved to travel the world with family and friends. Pattie had a great business mind and loved investing in various businesses. She was a true entrepreneur, investing in several successful start-up companies. Everybody who knew Pattie, knew she never smoked, drank, or cursed and loved to play bridge and entertain her friends always.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care provided over the past months and years to Alive Hospice, Floyd Robertson, Felicia, Cecily, Annette, Tracey, Barbara, Nancy, Maggie and Pennie.

Active pallbearers are Brian Fox, David Fox, Andrew Litow, Ryan Phillips, Zade Pollock, Josh Pollock and Floyd Robertson.
Visitation will be held 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12 p.m. at West End United Methodist Church, 2200 West End Avenue.
