Paul James Gottschalk, age 63 of Franklin TN passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013

He was born in Rochester, NY on January 19, 1950 to the late David and Betty Gottschalk.

Paul worker as an operations manager in the restaurant business for 23 years.

Survived by his loving wife, Jo Gottschalk and the members of his loyal Waggin Train, our dogs, Doug and Maggie, brother; Jeff of Toronto, Canada and his son, Greg, and family, brother; Jack and his wife, Karen of Rochester, NY, and their daughters, Michelle Brunk and Megan Howland, and their families, brother; Pete and his wife Eileen of Rochester, NY, sister; Mary Norling and husband, David, and children, Lukas Norling, Christy Campo and TJ Campo and his family.

As Paul made this journey with cancer, opening a site on CaringBridge.org allowed both of us to be touched by family and friends, some from across the years, and we cherish the love and support we felt.

The family will have a memorial service to celebrate Paul's life in Nashville in early January and will have a family and friends celebration in Rochester, NY, a little later. Dates and times will be updated soon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions would be welcome to help in the fight against cancer. His nieces, Megan and Michelle, will be running a half marathon in the spring and are gathering contributions in his name to support the research of The Sarah Cannon Research Institute.
