Phyllis Charlene Whitworth went home to be with the Lord at age 87 on April 30, 2017. She passed in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 1, 1930 in Nashville, TN. Her parents were Robert and Ella (Rogers) Ingram.

Phyllis was a caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ella Ingram; sister, Joanne Hardin; children, Robert Whitworth, Jr. and Joyce Anne Whitworth. She is survived by her children, Wayne Barnett, Sandra Whitworth Cheshire (Tommy), Cathy Whitworth Cox (Tommy), Cindy Whitworth, Patrick Whitworth and David Whitworth; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was loved by many.

Visitation will be from 12-3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
