Price B. Womack, 95, died September 16, 2014 in Alpharetta, Georgia. Until June of this year, he lived in Nashville. Mr. Womack was born in McMinnville, Tennessee to Cass R. and Mollie Fuston Womack. During World War II he served in the U. S. Navy as an airplane radio operator. After the war, he completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Tennessee and became a Certified Public Accountant. He was a partner in the CPA firm of Paty, Womack and Foster until he left public accounting to become Director of Internal Audit at Vanderbilt University. He was a 330 Mason.
Mr. Womack was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Henderson Womack, one son, John H. Womack, and three elder siblings. Survivors include his son Dan and daughter-in-law Carol Ann, brothers Fuston and Junnus and sister Peggy Roy, sister-in-law Christine Henderson and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mr. Womack will be held Friday, September 19 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel at Hillsboro Church of Christ. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens.
