Preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Lauranna Lyonnais; sister, Bernice (Lyonnais) Markowski.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Peter J. Giammalvo, PhD; son, Michael Giammalvo (Dawn); grandchildren Alec and Lindsay Giammalvo; brothers Robert and Jerry Lyonnais.

Born and raised in New Bedford, MA, she and her husband moved to Nashville, TN when they married in 1968. During their early years in Nashville, their son was born and she completed her training as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and worked in that capacity at St. Thomas Hospital, Vanderbilt Medical Center and in home care. They moved away from Nashville for 15 years living and working in South Bend, IN and Philadelphia, PA. They returned to Nashville in 2006 for work and planned to retire here.

Arrangements are private and being handled by Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt or the St. Thomas Foundation.
