Mrs. Reba Joy Freeze age 87, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018, from complications of Alzheimer's disease. She was born May 6, 1930, in Lexington, Alabama to the late Luther and Reba Nix. Mrs. Freeze was a member of the Church of Christ having attended Brookmeade and Bellevue for many years. She was the happiest when she was in her kitchen cooking and all her family around the dining room table. Mrs. Freeze was an avid fan of professional bull riding.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Kenneth Freeze who passed away in 2003. Surviving are her daughters Suzanne Tays and her husband Dwight. Luanne Hardesty and her husband Patrick. Two grandchildren; Ashley Emerson and her husband John Michael. Justin Tays and his wife Rebecca. Brother Don Nix. Two sisters Mary Ann Selley, and Peggy Carter. The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Charles Daniels, and the entire staff and residents at The Lodge at Natchez Trace.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday April 11, 2018, at 1 PM at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Marc Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial park.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 AM, until the hour of the service at the Harpeth Hills.
