Age 58, of Nashville, passed away June 8, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.

Richard was a kind hearted man that always wanted to help and take care of people. He also had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was very spontaneous in everything he did which made a unique and special person. Richard loved fishing, cooking, and being around his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, Katherine Louise Hite Abston and Ralph Albert Abston, Sr.; sister, Rita Jones; brothers, Ronald Abston and Danny Abston. Survived by his daughters, Mary Miranda & Elizabeth Burton; grandchildren, Jared Burton, Dakota Burton, Alexandria Miranda & Jessica Miranda; sisters, Jalena Hodge (Anthony), Darlene Hargis (Dewayne); Sherlene Dyer (Gary), Lissia Givens; brothers, Roy Abston (June), Troy Abston (Gayle), Randall Abston, Ralph Abston, Jr. & Donny Abston (Teresa); several extended family and friends.

A Life Celebration will be held 11:00am, Saturday, June 10th. Visitation will be 4:00pm-8:00pm, Friday and 10:00am-11:00am, Saturday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221 harpethhills.com, 615-646-9292
