Richard is preceded in death by his parents Eileen & James W. Carell; stepmother Jan Carell, & brother, Jimmy Carell.

He is survived by his loving wife, Devi Carell; 4 children, Hunter, Regan, Jake & Ben; step-children, Dalton & Mattie Houston; siblings, Christine Carell (John) Palmer, Michael Joseph (Jennifer) Carell, Eily Carell (Charles) Nicholson, Jeffrey Lee (Helen) Ponchillia, Tina Marie (Durand) McIntosh; Sister-in-law, Traci Carell & 15 nieces and nephews.

As an officer for Achiever Development, Richard was instrumental in developing subdivisions and apartment complexes in Springhill, TN. While his greatest passion was his blended family, Richard was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing, cooking (especially what he harvested), and entertaining.

The funeral service to be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Chris Adams, Branden Clemons, Michael Carell, Rick Dobbs, John Palmer, Darell Mullins, Mark Taylor, Jon Wilson & Paul Batman.
