Mr. Richard N. Childs age 85 of Fairview, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday August 21, 2018. He was born in Woodland, Mississippi to the late John Robert Childs and Erie O'Fallon Ball Childs .

He was preceded in death by his wife Eva May Childs, and a son James Alfred Childs.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law J. Richard and Jan Childs. Grandson John Richard Childs; granddaughters; Amanda Margaret Dial (Michael), and Jessica Rose Childs. Great grandchildren; William Nash Dial, and Edward Knox Dial.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018, at two o'clock in the afternoon at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from twelve o'clock noon until the hour of the service at the Harpeth Hill Funeral Home.
