Rita Volz

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 30, 1921

Departed on March 4, 2019 and resided in Nashville, Tennessee

NASHVILLE - age 97, passed away on March 4, 2019.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John A. (Jack) Volz and a brother, Ralph A. Priestle, who died at sea in the South Pacific while serving on the USS Indianapolis.

She is survived by daughters, Denise Volz and Claudia (Carl) Kornmeyer; and son, Steve (Norma) Volz; Grandchildren, Meghan (Fred) Paragano, Cathy (Nick) Walls, Michael (Lina) Kornmeyer, Colby (Elaine) Craton, Matthew (Stephanie) Volz, Leslie and Jessica Volz, and 12 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by a brother, Norb Priestle of Cincinnati, Ohio, a sister, Dolores Weichhand of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Henry Catholic Church on Wednesday,
March 13, 2019 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm with a rosary said at 4:00pm by the Ladies of Charity.

Rita is to be remembered by her many acts of charity, her spirit of volunteering, and
her devotion to her faith and family.
