Robert W. Crowley, 61, of Nashville, passed away on August 11, at Alive Hospice of Nashville after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.
Bob was born on September 18, 1952, in Forest Hills, NY, to the late Margaret and William Crowley. He graduated from Anthony Henniger High School in 1970 and Syracuse University in 1974. Bob was an electrical engineer and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 44 years. He worked for Onondaga County for 20 years and, later, for the Tennessee Valley Authority's nuclear plant in Watts Bar.
Bob was an avid golfer and an aficionado of bourbon and fine cigars. He enjoyed going to the beach, traveling with his wife and spending time with his beloved family.
Bob is survived by his wife, Margaret Mary Wilson, Ph.D., of Nashville; his sister and brother in-law, Jean and Thomas Ryan of Cromwell, Conn.; his niece, Lindsay Ryan of Stamford, Conn.; his nephew, Thomas Ryan II of Rocky Hill, Conn.; his stepsons and daughters in-law, Shawn and Samantha Homan of Goffstown, NH, Kevin and Samantha Wilson of Nashville, and Elizabeth Hodges Wilson of Nashville, TN and his grandchildren, Avery Catherine Homan of Goffstown, NH; Riley Lynn Homan of Amherst, NH., Jonathan Lowry Wilson, Richard Austin Wilson, Ashley Elizabeth Wilson of Nashville, TN
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Church, 6401 Harding Pike, Nashville.
