Robert D. Freeman age 76 of Spring Hill, Tennessee, passed away on May 26, 2018.
He was born August 10, 1941 to Lois Levitt Freeman and Vernon E. Freeman in Little Rock Arkansas. He attended the Tennessee Preparatory School in Nashville, Tennessee as a youth where he was an avid boxer. He accomplished the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America prior to serving his country in the Army during Vietnam. Bob then continued his education at Belmont College in Nashville, TN where he obtained a degree in business. He had a successful career in sales for many years.
Bob had a beautiful baritone voice that carried across the room. He was always singing when happy. He particularly enjoyed gospel music. He served as a worship leader and music minister in several churches across Middle Tennessee. He had a contagious laugh and smile, was charismatic and charming.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved daughter, Terri Baker (Freeman). He is survived by his daughter Katherine McKenzie (Eric) of Savannah, Georgia, and son Robert D. Freeman, Jr. (Maria) of Nashville, Tennessee. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lane Baker, Rilee Baker, Ethan Baker, Willow Baker, Josiah Baker, Kasidi Baker, Bret Freeman, Emily Freeman, Aidan McKenzie and Graeme McKenzie as well as the mother of his children, Shirley Ann Galya.
A celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018, at elven o'clock in the morning at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends Saturday from ten o'clock in the morning until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
