Robert Edward "Bob" McClain, Sr. age 81 of Pasquo passed away Tuesday, March 6th, 2018. He was born on March 3rd, 1937.
Bob attended Harpeth Valley Elementary, Bellevue High School, and Belmont University of Nashville. Bob always loved to sing and was a member of the quartet Connie and the Cones in the 1950's. Later, he was active in church choirs at Harpeth Heights Baptist Church, Bellevue United Methodist and Bellevue Presbyterian.
Bob was a third generation owner of McClain's Bi-Rite which he ran with his wife, Ferhne McClain. He also had a successful career as a pipefitter and was part of Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Local 572.
He loved spending time with his family, helping his friends, bowling, enjoying nature, and driving his '65 Mustang.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Heidi McClain Scoggins; parents, Harold and Mona McClain; sister, Peggy McClain.
He is remembered with love by his sons, Robert Edward McClain, Jr. and Rodney Harold McClain (Erica); sisters, Dolores Burrow (Jim) and Myrna Southwood; many nieces and nephews.
A brief burial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, March 24th, 2018 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Following the service, a Celebration of Life open house for his friends and family will be held from 4:00-6:00pm at Crumb de la Crumb at 160 Belle Forest Circle in Nashville.
