Robert Frank Seidel - 4/5/1935 - 8/25/2018
Mr. Seidel was born in Trenton, New Jersey. He studied history at Rutgers University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1957, later getting his CPCU certificate in 1972. He moved to Nashville in 1970 where he met and married his wife Sandra Smith Seidel in 1990. A. He worked for 28 years at the Frank E. Neal Agency as an insurance marketing executive, retiring in 2011. He served on multiple committees of Belmont United Methodist Church, focusing on outreach and services to disadvantaged children. His interests were reading, writing, movies and travel that would enhance his knowledge of how different people live. He was an avid fan of Vanderbilt basketball and committed t0 helping children in any way he could. He was a faithful, caring man who loved life and laughter. He was a testament to the principle of using love and inclusivity to guide your life. He died at home surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife Sandra Seidel of Nashville, TN and his sister, Cynthia (Robert) Moore of Denver, CO as well as 7 children: Valerie (Phillip) Strobel of Goodlettsville, TN; Pamela (Glen) Wood of Chattanooga, TN., Dana Barrow of Cary, NC, James (Michelle) Hopkins of Newburg, IN; Danielle (Shannon) Buchanan of Dickson, TN, Michael Hopkins and Russell (Jennifer) Seidel of Nashville, TN, 16 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren
Visitation with memorial service to follow will be held at Belmont United Methodist Church on the corner of 21st Avenue and Acklen Avenue in Nashville, TN on September 15th at 3PM.

Family requests donations be sent to Brighter Days Program.
The family is grateful to the Willowbrook Hospice team and the Always Best Caregivers. They were able to help us at a very difficult time during his final weeks. We would also like to thank the multiple friends and family that were at our side during this journey.
