Robert Marshall Shockley, age 84 of Nashville, TN passed away at home on Thursday, May 12, 2016.

Robert was born in Nashville, TN on July 29, 1931, son to the late Robert Lee & Maude Daniel Shockley.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Coryne Shockley Melton and Charles Bennett Shockley; nephews, Daniel Hooper Melton and William Duggan Melton.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Stephanie Jane Shockley; 4 grandchildren, Aly Armistead (Scott) Greer, Massey Armistead, Anne Parkes Armistead & Addison Armistead; 1 great grandchild, Nicholas Turner Greer; nephew, Robert Drew Melton; & brother-in-law, William Hooper Melton.

Interment will take place in Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11:00 am.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will be, Norton M. Edwards(Bub), William Bruce, Ty Ragsdale, Eric Viars, David Garris & Robert H F Armistead.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Cancer Center - Monroe Carrell, Jr. Children's Hospital - Vanderbilt Gift and Donor Services, 2525 West End Ave, Nashville TN 37205, in loving memory of Robert Marshall Shockley.
