Ronald Gene "Ronnie" Accas - Age 69, of Nashville passed away January 26, 2019.
born in Fairbanks, Alaska, on March 24, 1949. He graduated from Isaac Litton High School in 1967. He served in the United States Navy Medical Corps from 1977 to 1981. Ron received his Bachelors of Science Degree and completed the Physician Assistant Program at Baylor College of Medicine in 1983. He practiced medicine in New York for twenty years before returning to Tennessee, treating thousands of patients, serving in many capacities and clinics before settling into a true passion for pain management. All who knew Ron, knew that he was driven by his care and compassion for his patients. He was impressively intelligent and impulsively gave medical advice to friends and family, as it was his unique way of showing he truly cared.
Ron took great pride in being the father of three children; Owen, Ashley, and Rachel. He especially enjoyed sharing his passions with his family. Ron was a fierce fan of the San Francisco Giants, the Tennessee Vols, and all things tennis. He took every opportunity to spend a day at a baseball stadium with his children, or tennis court with an old friend.
Ron had a kind heart with pure intentions. He often took the time to go above and beyond for his family and friends. Ron loved his family and Jesus Christ. A memorable man, with a knack for making an impression, he will be missed by family, friends, patients, and colleagues.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ermile Johnson Accas & George Anthony Accas; brother, Mark B. Accas. Survived by his children, Owen A. Accas, Ashley A. Accas & Rachel L. Accas; brother, Gregg Accas; extended family and friends.
