Rosemary Shelton, of Nashville, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on February 15, 1932, to Rose and Milton Cooke. She moved to Nashville in 1968. Family was extremely important to Rosemary, and she was a tremendously devoted wife and mother. She loved to travel, and she was an avid golfer and former member of the Hillwood Country Club 18 Hole Association. She enjoyed reading and playing bridge, in addition to watching golf and football.
She is proceeded in death by her first husband of 25 years, Rae Broker; her second husband of 43 years, Larry Shelton; daughters Karen Broker Davidson and Susan Broker Auerbach, as well as sisters Edna Lauber, Dorothy Peck and brother, Milton Cooke, all from Cheshire, CT.
Rosemary is survived by her loving son, Billy Broker; stepson, Ted (Shawn) Shelton and stepdaughter Tracey (Billy) Clay; granddaughter, Gracyn Broker and step grandson, Heath Shelton; son-in-law, Andy Auerbach; sister, Helen Cooke and several nieces and nephews and brother-in-law David (Diana) Shelton.
The family will receive friends at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville 37221. Visitation will be Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 12:00pm ~ 1:30pm with a Celebration of Life at 1:30pm and the burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Rosemary's honor to the American Heart Association.
