Roy E. Pardue- ...a dear, sweet, and loving husband to Joyce Evelyn for 66 years...
...a wonderful father and friend to his son Tim Pardue...
...a "second father" to his loving daughter-in-law, Anita...
..."Paps" to Erica, Lyndi, Trevor, Trent, Neal, Jaycie, Harper, Savannah, Emory, Brooks, and Axel...
...a kind and loving man to his sister and brother, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends...
...a man who loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Roy Pardue was a man who knew he was blessed in his life... with his wife, his son and daughter-in-law, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The blessing of family continued through his love for his sister, brother, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Family meant everything to him. He was also blessed with so many friends he had made over the years. Roy loved the Lord and strived to live a life that would honor Him. He proudly served in the United States Army. "Coach" as many people called him had a love for sports in general, but baseball was always his passion... from the love of playing himself, to coaching his son, Tim, and then coaching at David Lipscomb University. If you asked him, "Where is your favorite place to be?" he would quickly say, "The Farm!" It was there that Roy was the most happy... either fishing off the deck, playing cards, sharing meals together with family and friends, taking omelet orders (which he loved to make for people), or just sitting on the porch enjoying the view of the lake. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by his father, Roy Eldridge Pardue, Sr., mother, Viola Pardue, sister, Lois Sharoff; Survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce Evelyn Pardue; son, Timothy Fate Pardue (Anita), granddaughter, Erica Bell, granddaughter, Lyndi Dunning (Neal), grandson, Trevor Pardue (Jaycie), grandson, Trent Pardue, great-grandchildren Harper, Savannah, Emory, Brooks, Axle; sister, Hilda Potter (Austin), brother, Clarence Pardue; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins that also loved him so much.
