Ruby Toombs

Ruby Lee Toombs age 81, passed away on July 22, 2021. She was born February 18, 1940, in Davidson County, Tennessee to the late Aaron and Mary Lizzie Pewitt. Ruby is also preceded in death by her husband Milton Toombs, brothers John Pewitt, James Pewitt, Vernon Pewitt, Eddie J. Pewitt, William H. Pewitt, sisters Mary Jones, Lucille Pewitt, and granddaughter Kayla Dawn Toombs.

Survived by daughter Melissa Missildine, sons John Toombs, James (Josie) Toombs, Milton Toombs, Greg (Marty) Toombs, grandsons Jesse (Sabrina) Bacall, Jerry (Tanya) Toombs, Justin Toombs, Andrew Toombs, Dillon Toombs, Ozzie Withrow, granddaughter Payton Toombs, Shelby (Preston) Lancaster, great granddaughters Samantha Bacall, Taylor Toombs, Brianna Toombs, Abby Toombs, Delta Rae, great grandsons Jacob Toombs, Jace Toombs, Mason Stevenson, Otis Lancaster, Michael Withrow, sister Diane (James) Parham, brother Paul C. (Sheila) Pewitt and numerous other loved ones.

Ruby Lee retired from Tennessee Tufting after working there many years. She was a great seamstress and enjoyed sewing. She loved being in her garden and canning her fresh veggies. Ruby was a good mom and loved her family.

There will be visitation on Saturday July 24, 4:00 – 7:00, Sunday 1:00-7:00 and Monday July 26, 9:00 – 10:00 with a Celebration of Life at 10:00 all at Harpeth Hill Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100, Nashville TN 37221.
