ROWLES, Ruth Ellen age 72 of Nashville, TN, surrounded by her loving family went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 14, 2013. Mrs. Rowles was born June 20, 1941 in Charleston, WV to the late Arch & Ruth Dawson. She was preceded in death by her twin sister Rebecca Eugenia Mason. Survived by her loving husband of 52 years, John Frederic Rowles; daughter, Allyson Yvonne Bates; son, Russell Allen Rowles; grandsons, Zachery Luke Bates, Seth Raleigh Daniel Bates, Jonathan Bennet Bates, Luke Archer Rowles, Bearser and Lili. Mrs. Rowles "Ruthie", "Miss Ruth" taught pre school at Belle Meade United Children's Center where she created a loving and learning atmosphere for more than 500 children over 30 years. This devotion to enriching children's lives continued at Blakemore United Methodist Church where she continued showing God's love to her Sunday School Class. Generous to a fault she always gave unconditional love and aid to those in need. Ruthie's earthly presence will be sorely missed. Till we meet again. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 4:00 PM thru 8:00 PM at Blakemore United Methodist Church, 3601 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN where a celebration of Mrs. Rowles life will be conducted Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00 with Pastors Matt Charlton and Michael Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation to 123456 A CHILD through your United Methodist Church Advance, in loving memory of Mrs. Ruth E. Rowles.
