Mr. Sammie G. Baker Jr., age 84, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018. Surviving are his devoted wife of 61 years Joyce Palmore Baker. Children; Rebecca Parrish (Bert), Sammie G. Baker III (Lydia), and Robert Baker (Amy). Sisters; Helen Morrow, Bobbie Patterson,Mary Holladay, and Alice Fox. 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday at 11 AM at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Blackman officiating. Interment will follow in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 8 pm at the Harpeth Hills.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Alive Hospice. alivehospice.org in Mr. Baker's memory.
