Samuel Haston Johnson- Age 66, April 3, 2014. Preceded in death by his brother, James Vanderbilt Johnson. Survived by his wife of 20 years, Gail Rich Johnson; children, Samuel Dwight Johnson "Bo" (Melinda), Timothy Charles Johnson (Brandan) and Corey Alan Johnson; 17 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Glenda Davis (Roy) and Edie Johnson. Immediately after graduating Joelton High School, Sammy served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. After numerous years of working in auto body repair, he went to work for State Farm Insurance Co. He retired in 2004 but continued to work at Alfa Insurance Co. as an auditor. His hobbies included ham radio, remote controlled airplanes and woodworking. Visitation will be Monday, 5-8 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A life celebration service will be at 11:30 am on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at the funeral Home. Interment will follow at Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, in remembrance of his beloved brother, the family requests donations to be made to the ALS Association.
