Mrs. Sara Ruth Taylor age 81, of La Vergne, Tennessee, passed away Saturday August 11, 2018. She was born October 2, 1936, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Robert and Nettie Perkins Moody. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of over fifty years James Taylor

Sara loved to swim, shop, line dance, and listen to country music. She was a member of the Red Hat Club, and the Senior Group at the Miracle Baptist Church in La Vergne.

Surviving are her children; Mona Morgan (John), Dianne Giannetto (Charles), Jimmie Clark (Rick), Robert Taylor (Donna), Randy Taylor (Terri), and Tim Taylor. Brother Robert Moody. Sisters; Barbara Ridge, Robert Moody, Karen Bowman, Earlene Tolbert, and Elizabeth Mary Wyrick. Grandchildren; Jason Harding, Jennifer Harrison, Amanda Harding, Bryan Clark, Sam Ellis, Spence Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Lauren Johnson, Autumn Devlin, Jenny Taylor, and Garrett Taylor. She is also survived by her beloved fur baby Benji.

A Celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at one o'clock in the afternoon at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens with family serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from five o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening, and on Wednesday from twelve o'clock noon until the hour of the service at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
